What is your favorite memory/ moment that brought you lots of joy? I’ve had seven surgeries on my knees over the years and it was the greatest feeling ever to be told that i was at my last appointment, my knees were doing great, and I never had to come back!!! I think I cried with joy and skipped all the way out of the hospital.

What is something people generally don’t know about you? I have three fingers on my left hand (even though I’m very open about it most people who know me don’t notice for YEARS).

Who is Savannah? Savannah is a strong, athletic young women who is determined and adventurous!

What gets your fired up about the disability movement? Sharing my experiences and stories. To bring people with limb difference and their parents hope that they can live a full amazing life.

What is your advocacy platform? Instagram: @_mykindofnormal_

What barriers or challenges do you face in this movement? I live with anxiety and depression which can make it hard to put myself out there on my Instagram.

What do you want those who do not identify with disability to know? Nothing can stop us! When we put our mind to it we can do anything! So please be supportive and help us if we need it (in other words please don’t bully or talk down to us👏🏻)

What areas are you still growing/hope to grow? Personally? Professionally? I’m hoping to be able to grow my instagram and share my journey with more people.

Who was the person/role model who inspired you to look into disability advocacy? Why/how did they inspire you? The Lucky Fin Project! Up until I found out about them I felt very alone what I was dealing with but when I found them and discovered this amazing community of people with limb differences I felt inspired to become an advocate to help people know that there are others like them!

When people look at you/up to you, what do you hope they see? Someone who has overcome challenges and been able to become better because of it. I also hope they see a friend. 😋

What are your next steps? I’m going to be writing about my journey something for @iampossible
