What is your favorite memory/ moment that brought you lots of joy? Abseiling down a cliff for the first time!

What is something people generally don’t know about you? I’m actually quite loud once you get to know me😂

Who is Liv? I’m just your average 22 year old girl, with the same dreams and aspirations as everybody else.

What gets your fired up about the disability movement? Being able to connect and relate to so many different people, all going through the same life hurdles.

What is your advocacy platform? I am a body positive “ROLE-model”

What barriers or challenges do you face in this movement? Confidence to sell myself to career professionals.

What do you want those who do not identify with disability to know? Most disabled people are willing to answer any questions you may have, about themselves, so don’t be afraid to ask.

What areas are you still growing/hope to grow? Personally- walking into a room and my difference not being the first thing I’m conscious about Professionally- being able to confidently and comfortably reach out to initiate a handshake!

Who was the person/role model who inspired you to look into disability advocacy? Why/how did they inspire you? There were many people, close friends, Paralympians. One person in particular, was a man called Frank Letch who ran ‘Reach’ (a charity for children with limb differences) who was born without arms, due to thalidomide. He showed everyone that he could do anything he set his mind to and that has always been my motivation from a very young age.

When people look at you/up to you, what do you hope they see? Someone who doesn’t take themselves too seriously, is fun and can have a laugh. Someone who is kind and caring, compassionate, loving and understanding. I hope they see someone who never gives up, is an outgoing, adventurous/spontaneous type of person who is always willing to give anything a go.

What are your next steps? I am currently on track to train (and qualify) as a Personal Trainer. I hope to work more on my music/singing as well as promoting body positivity! I’d love to also pick up my old hobby of photography.. when I have time!

How do we follow you?!
